Steve Brewer's listeners find his warm, friendly style perfect for wrapping up the workday, the rush hour drive and for continued listening at home. Renee Dubay.jpg

Renee Dubay -- Weeknights 7pm - 11pm

I found my calling when I was 16 and our 4-H club did a fundraiser at a local radio station in my home-state of Minnesota. Since then, I've done radio in Colorado, Ohio, Hawaii, Nebraska, Chicago and Minneapolis, and now here in Tennessee! I still love radio as much as I did when I was 16. I'm married, no kids, but do have a chihuahua and a tabby-cat. I love to cook, bake, play Texas Hold'em, travel, binge watch shows on TV, go to the movies and fish. So happy to still be in radio doing my thang! Tune in and listen for me weeknights here on 104.9 The River from 7pm until 11pm!

Vicki%20Messer_edited.jpg

Vicki Messer -- Office Manager

Things just wouldn't get done in a house without a Mom to keep everyone in line. Well....the same can be said about a radio station! Thankfully, WEPG has Vicki Messer to keep up with all of our, uhm, messes. (yeah, we went there!). Vicki is a Marion County native who worked for many years as an EMT/Paramedic both here and in Chattanooga. She's the one you want around to revive you should you need CPR -- yes, she's certified and a trainer! She also has many years of office management and bookkeeping experience, so we've enlisted her help around here as our Office Manager to see that bills are paid, accounting is done, and things are handled professionally and in a timely manner! Vicki is always ready to help WEPG's customers and advertisers and she loves country music! While you don't hear her on the radio a lot -- don't let that fool ya! She worked some around WEPG running ballgames and other programs alongside her brother (now owner and morning host) Travis Hickman back in the 80s. Vicki also handles news coverage for WEPG from time-to-time and is the station's social media diva!

Logan Carmichael -- Engineer / Production

Logan Bio Pic.jpeg

If it's broken...he probably broke it! Wait...no... That's not how it works! Logan Carmichael is Chief Engineer, IT guru, troubleshooting ninja, and audio production and creative services wizard for Tennessee Valley Broadcasting's 104.9 The River WEPG and Country Roads 93.3 WSDQ.  A native of Whitwell, TN, Logan started in radio at the ripe old age of 11 and came to work at WEPG in 1996. He's worked in other towns like Chattanooga, Atlanta, and just outside of Dayton, OH in Indiana. He came full-circle back to our stations several years back with engineering and production duties and has been here ever since!  Logan handles the technical operations of both stations, keeping the radio waves flowing from our towers to your radio....and music going to your web stream or smart speakers in addition to our TV channel! He also handles creative services, production, and programming for the stations -- meaning he's the guy your hear saying our station name between songs and on many of our commercials. Logan also coordinates and runs our seasonal high school football broadcasts of the Marion County Warriors, South Pittsburg Pirates, Whitwell Tigers, and Sequatchie County Indians on his Nickajack Radio Network in cooperation with the radio stations each fall. Oh, and did we mention this is only his part-time job? He also works for several other radio stations in the Chattanooga area and our region both on-air and in engineering in addition to other things. When he's not busy working, he's busy as a full-time uncle raising his niece and nephew. He enjoys listening to all kinds of music (especially Jimmy Buffett -- he's our resident Parrot Head), talking all over the world on his ham radio, watching the Vols, Red Sox, or Braves...and many other hobbies. You can catch Logan filling-in occasionally on Swap & Shop or other shifts, too!
